- First the bad news: There is no payment for submissions. As you can see, I do not charge for access to this site, nor do I accept advertising. This site exists to express opinions and share information about public education not generate income.
- Your post must be written by you and you must control all rights.
- If you want to retain full copyright, state this with your submission (so I can place a notice on your post). Such a statement means you retain all rights to the piece and it cannot be reproduced without your permission.
- Without the copyright notice mentioned above, the work will fall under the Creative Commons Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives license, which is the standard license for posts on this site. Article guidelines:
- The article must, or course, relate to education in some way.
- The article may be opinion, informational, or a critique of another article (even one that appears on our site). If the article you refer to is off-site, please provide a link.
- Please site resources and references when appropriate.
- Although Education in Practice supports public education, I am not opposed to running posts that are critical of the public system. However, all posts must be researched and well referenced when appropriate. I do not publish hearsay or unsupported rants. Keep in mind that, if published, a counter argument may be presented.
- There is no length requirement, but longer posts may be broken up into sections and posted over time. Generally, if published in a series, the article will be posted over consecutive days (excluding weekends and some holidays).
